About Learning Disabled Programs and Services
 
 
This school accepts Learning Disabled students according to the following definition:According to the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities, a learning disability is a "general term that refers to a heterogeneous group of disorders manifested by significant difficulties in the acquisition and use of listening, speaking, reading, writing, reasoning, or mathematical abilities." A learning disability is presumably due to central nervous system dysfunction, and is not primarily due to other handicapping conditions, environmental, or cultural influences. It is not a form of mental retardation, or an emotional disorder.
 
There is support for Learning Disabled students but there is not a specific program available for Learning Disabled students.
There is no limit to the number of Learning Disabled students.
There is no limit to the percent of students allowed into the Learning Disabled program.
 
 Application Requirements
 
 
SAT I is required with minimum scores of:
.English: 550
Math: 550
Combined: 1100
ACT is required.
Other:
Documentation required at matriculation.
A personal interview is not neccessary.
An essay is required and it may be typed.
Untimed tests are accepted.
GED certification is not accepted.
top tenth of secondary school class is the minimum class rank accepted.
B is the minimum letter grade average accepted.

editing assistance, library assistance.
Learning Disabled students are tutored individually and in small groups.
Credit is not given for remedial courses taken.
 
 Learning Disabled Term and Staff Information
 
The Learning Disabled student program runs on a partial term.
A lighter course load is given to Learning Disabled students.
Additional time is given to complete degree.
No extra cost for Learning Disabled students.
