a campus visit is recommended.

Chemistry, physics, and trigonometry strongly recommended. The academy
tenders appointments solely on the basis of an annual nationwide
competition; no congressional nominations or geographical quotas. All
entrants must be at least 17 but not yet 22 years of age by July 1 of the
year of admission. All applicants must be unmarried U.S. citizens
(foreign nationals with approval) with no parental obligations or
responsibilities.

Graduation from secondary school is required. General Educational Development (GED) Diploma is accepted in lieu of
graduation.
