About Learning Disabled Programs and Services
- There is support for Learning Disabled students but there is not a specific program available for Learning Disabled students.
- There is no limit to the number of Learning Disabled students.
- There is no limit to the percent of students allowed into the Learning Disabled program.
Application Requirements
- SAT I is required.
- ACT is required.
- Diagnostic tests are required.
- A personal interview is not neccessary.
- Untimed tests are not accepted.
- GED certification is accepted.
Learning Disabled Student Services
- List of applicable services for Learning Disabled students:
- Remedial Math
- Remedial English
- Remedial Reading
- Diagnostic Testing Services
- Tutors
- Learning Center
- Learning Disabled students are tutored individually and in small groups.
- Credit is not given for remedial courses taken.
Learning Disabled Term and Staff Information
- The Learning Disabled student program runs on a partial term.
- A lighter course load is given to Learning Disabled students.
- Additional time is given to complete degree.
- No extra cost for Learning Disabled students.
- There are 1 full-time staff persons available to work with Learning Disabled students.
- There are 3 part-time staff persons available to work with Learning Disabled students.
- Susan Hardage, Assistant Professor of Education, is the key staff person available to work with Learning Disabled students.
