About Learning Disabled Programs and Services
 
 
This school accepts Learning Disabled students according to the following definition:According to the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities, a learning disability is a "general term that refers to a heterogeneous group of disorders manifested by significant difficulties in the acquisition and use of listening, speaking, reading, writing, reasoning, or mathematical abilities." A learning disability is presumably due to central nervous system dysfunction, and is not primarily due to other handicapping conditions, environmental, or cultural influences. It is not a form of mental retardation, or an emotional disorder.
 
There is support for Learning Disabled students but there is not a specific program available for Learning Disabled students.
There is no limit to the number of Learning Disabled students.
There is no limit to the percent of students allowed into the Learning Disabled program.
 
 Application Requirements
 
 
A personal interview is not neccessary.
Untimed tests are not accepted.
GED certification is accepted.

Remedial Math
Remedial English
Remedial Reading
Note-taking Services
Oral Tests
Readers
Tutors
Tape Recorders
Learning Center
Credit is not given for remedial courses taken.
 
 Learning Disabled Term and Staff Information
 
The Learning Disabled student program runs on a minimal term.
A lighter course load is not given to Learning Disabled students.
Additional time is not given to complete degree.
No extra cost for Learning Disabled students.
