Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, R.I., for highly qualified
nominees who do not obtain appointment; school offers one-year training
program to prepare students for entry into the Naval Academy.

Applicants must be at least age 17 and not yet age 22 on July 1 of year of
admission, and be unmarried U.S. citizens (except for limited quota of
foreign students), with no parental obligations or responsibilities. Highly
competitive admissions process. Minimum SAT I scores of 600 in both verbal
and math (ACT scores of 22 English and 26 math), and rank in top fifth of
secondary school class recommended.

Standardized Tests
